We are looking for a competent and reliable mechanic to join us at our workshop in Liskeard. We carry out a variety of servicing and repair work across a wide range of vehicles, meaning no two days are the same.

About the position

We are offering a full time position working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday plus alternate half day on Saturdays, and potential for overtime.

You will be carrying out all aspects of servicing and repairs to cars and light commercial vehicles including but not limited to

  • Performing test drives, vehicle inspections and diagnostics to find and rectify faults as required

  • Routine maintenance including engine and drivetrain servicing

  • MOT repairs

  • Advising customers on vehicle repairs and timescales

Requirements for application:

  • Full UK Driving License

  • Good time management

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Be able to work unsupervised

  • Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and MOT testing qualification preferred but not essential

  • We will supply any specialist tools or equipment that is required, but you should have your own toolbox and tools

Your normal working hours will be 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with a 30 minute lunch and 8.30am to 1.00pm on alternate Saturdays

Rates of pay dependent on experience, averaging £35000 per year for a level 3 qualified applicant

Holiday entitlement of 28 days per year
